In partnership with internationally respected providers of Kanban training, we have instituted the Lean-Kanban University Accredited Kanban Training Program. This collaborative effort is designed to provide confidence that Kanban training material is of good quality and that it is delivered by experienced trainers who meet agreed standards.
Who is lean-kanban university?
The Lean-Kanban University was started by two leaders in the application of Lean and Kanban to software development and other knowledge work. David J Anderson & Associates, Inc, the name most closely identified with the definition of the Kanban Method, and Net Objectives, Inc have long been proponents of Lean thinking as a way to take technical development to the next level.
Lean-Kanban University is already a hub for respected trainers and consultants. Sixteen such firms spanning three continents [2] have come together as Charter Members to institute Lean-Kanban University’s Accredited Kanban Training Program. This collaborative effort is designed to provide confidence that Kanban training will meet the high expectations of consumers.
Why accreditation?
Our accreditation does two key things:
1. It ensures that an agreed core curriculum of Kanban knowledge – conceptual and practical – is brought to every student
2. It provides assurance that trainers know what they’re doing, with relevant experience as both practitioners and teachers
The credibility of any accreditation program rests on the people behind it. Our program’s founders include the foremost pioneers and stewards of the Kanban Method and many of its leading service providers. No other accreditation program will be able to claim this.
Why do this now?
Because the market demands it! The adoption of Kanban is accelerating and the appetite for training is increasing rapidly. During this exciting period of market evolution, our program will provide a common platform from which training providers can grow and innovate.
How do I get accredited kanban training?
Our Services directory lists kanban training providers by geographical region. Members of the program will be clearly identifiable by a badge. Locate a provider near you and contact them to book a public or private class.
What are the benefits of getting accredited kanban training?
Additional benefits to trainees of accredited kanban training include:
· Listing as a kanban practitioner on the Lean-Kanban University website
· An online record of completion
...not to mention the value of the training itself!
In the future, look for a path towards meaningful professional credentials [3] that reflect the knowledge and practical experiences of practitioners of the Kanban method.
I'm already a kanban trainer or other service provider. Can I participate?
